We're back! We finally returned home from a 12-day honeymoon Friday morning, and I celebrated by going to work. Not a bad thing, considering it got me back onto good ol' Central Time (five hours ahead of Hawaii). Hawaii -- specifically, Kauai, where we stayed -- was great. 85 degrees or so every single day. It did rain a little every day, but never too much to ruin your day. Besides, the NLCS sort of dictated our schedule.
Yeah, I'm the horrible husband who dragged his wife to sports bars to watch all seven $#@! games of the series, and yes, it got ugly during Game 6. But, I can't say I was surprised to see things go south in a hurry. The Cubs do these things, I guess. I don't want to say much more about it.
On another note, Bob Gosman will hopefully be appearing on these pages soon. He's a freelancer for the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel (Wisconsin's best paper, and one of my favorites) and the Daily Herald (Illinois' best paper, or so the AP says). He went to school with me at IU, and despite him being a Packers fan, is a great guy.
And now that I have that somewhat big event of a wedding out of the way, you will hear from me more often, and you'll see this site improve.
